We’re heading toward a full moon and the water is cooling, so the bite should be improving. Sharks have been turning up and eating things that are left in the water for a while. Redfish reports have been decent out of Pine Island Sound and Lemon Bay, as well as a handful of large trout here and there. There are lots of catfish caught on natural bait. Spanish mackerel are schooling up in the passes, with a few smaller sized kingfish found in the mix. Bluefish have been spotted schooling up too. Snook action is strong on artificials and cut bait, although most fish are small.
